Empathy First Design

A design methodology for specialist doctor websites built around the patient's emotional architecture, not the doctor's credentials. Most healthcare UX focuses on information architecture. This framework argues the real problem is different: the patient at midnight is not looking for credentials. They are looking for safety signals.

The framework includes a diagnostic research process, a standard site structure, and one signature element per doctor — derived from who their patients actually are — that cannot be replicated. AI assists the research and drafting; the interpretive judgment remains human.
